Released in April of 2021, Amulet of Dead is one of Play’n Go’s many well-regarded online slot games and was the latest addition to the 16-part Wilde series. The design of the Amulet of Dead playtable itself is relatively intricate with a golden, prestigious look, featuring golden beams with an alternating blue band to separate the reels from one another. The background features in Amulet of Dead is an extremely detailed design with animated ancient Egyptian imagery creating the setting for the game. The colour scheme is predominantly a sandy stone colour that alludes to the theme of ancient Egypt, which is fully highlighted by the pharaoh-inspired statues in the background and hieroglyphics visible on either side of the playtable. There are plenty of bonus symbols in Amulet of Dead that also follow the ancient Egyptian theme that the base game set out to create. To start, a Wild symbol is represented by a pharaoh with a gold and blue background and a scatter symbol is represented by a blue and gold Eye of Horus symbol.

Amulet of Dead Bonus Features 


The Amulet of Dead slot game features various bonus games that elevate the playing experience in many different ways. One of which being a Wild symbol that, like in Slingo games, can substitute for all base game symbols in play, the wild also becomes stacked if 3 land in the same reel. These stacked wilds can trigger a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5 if 1, 2 or 3 stacked wilds land, respectively. 

Scatter symbols in the Amulet of Dead also offer a variety of different bonuses. One feature of the scatter is that if 3 features on the playtable in any position, 10 free spins will be unlocked with multipliers added to the free spins round depending on the number of scatter symbols that land. A wild scatter can also substitute for all symbols except for expanding symbols whilst also adding a multiplier of 2x, 20x, 200x and 1000x if 2, 3,4 or 5 land, respectively.

When a combination lands, it is possible to gamble the value that has landed by selecting either a card symbol or the colour of a mystery card. If the bet correlates to the flipped card, a multiplier will be added to the value based on what bet was placed, with a higher value multiplier added to correct card symbol bets.
